Beach Personality: Hard To Find, Harder To Leave

Jobos Beach Puerto Rico

Jobos Beach is one of those rare beaches that combine simple amenities with natural beauty. The beach itself contains slightly coarse, tan sand with a few coconuts and a bit of natural debris washed up along the shore. The water is a warm and inviting palette of turquoise and royal blue and there are always waves for surfers. If you enjoy bird watching, brown pelicans are a common sight.

Jobos Beach is also home to a blowhole on the Atlantic Ocean side of the promontory at the beach’s eastern end. As a result of the regular waves, the blowhole consistently sprays a plume of water into the air that flows down the cove side of the promontory like a waterfall. The blowhole is so unique and naturally beautiful that it is reason enough to go to Jobos. If you like geology, the promontory is made up of fossilized coral. Walk onto it to see some interesting coral formations.

According to Lacy, Jobos Beach is a fantastic destination because there is always something going on. Every weekend is like spring break. Yet it is also a wonderful beach for families with many families coming back year after year.
